. . . as cool winds blew sands of time her words of wisdom slipped my mind 

got hooked on the news got real blue forgot a smile could pull me thru'  

 

. . . so out thru' the window my t.v. flew ‘membered what mama said to do

she said “shoot for the moon follow your dreams  

go skinny dippin’ in fiji seas 

your heart will sing a symphony

you’ll have a lotta’ fun and get what you need”

 

. . . so rolled out the carpet my ship came in on a road of gold been rakin' it in

throw out the old welcome the new with a smile to pull you thru’ 

 

. . . now if you let the news bring you down start lookin’ for rainbows in the clouds

and if the sky falls on you use a smile to pull you thru’
